Directions to Old Tunnel WMA:

From Highway 290 (via Fredericksburg or Johnson City):

Look for the brown TxDOT highway sign that says "Old Tunnel Wildlife Area" a half-mile east of the Fredericksburg city limits. Turn south here on the Old San Antonio Rd. and go 10.5 miles. The Old Tunnel WMA will be on the left at the top of the hill.

From San Antonio, take IH-10 to Comfort and exit at HWY 27. Go west on HWY 27 to the blinking light in town and veer to the right on HWY 87. Turn right on FM 473 (look for TxDOT sign at blinking light) and head east back under IH-10 and continue for 5 miles. When FM 473 makes a right turn to Sisterdale, GO STRAIGHT AHEAD on the Old # 9 HWY for 8 more miles. The Old Tunnel WMA will be on the right at the top of the hill.

From Kerrville, take HWY 27 east to Comfort, TX. Turn left on FM 473. Continue on FM 473 through the blinking light in Comfort for approximately 5 miles. When FM 473 makes a right turn to Sisterdale, GO STRAIGHT AHEAD on the Old # 9 HWY for 8 more miles. The Old Tunnel WMA will be on the right at the top of the hill.
